Linda Dobbins Dance, was created in 1996 as a dance studio with an unparalleled reputation throughout the United States and now world wide for beginner/recreational, competitive and also our pre-professional programs.
Proud of our strong competitive dance and theatrical heritage, we offer intense training in the fields of jazz, hip hop, lyrical, ballet, contemporary, modern, clogging, vocal, cheerleading and acting. In this we have made a "tradition of excellence", not just in dance and winning national titles, but in the "life skills" your child learns through our program. We feel that these skills are an important factor in a young persons life. We aspire to teach our students confidence, responsibility, discipline, pride, perfection, and how to cope in a competitive environment. Not to mention it is FUN!
Our program has produced some of the best dancers in our area. The program consist of 3 levels, recreational, competitive and pre-professional. Our dancers have progressed to achieve college dance teams, acceptance to the Alabama School of Fine Arts, college performing arts scholarships, professional careers in Los Angeles & the Radio City Rockettes and Broadway. Our dancers have also won $85,000 in scholarships and our staff has also won numerous awards through out the south, the country and the world for our choreography and excellence in teaching.
We have master teachers on staff that visit our studio 3 times a year such as the cast from Broadway’s “Wicked”, the Broadway cast from “Beauty and the Beast”, top choreographer Barry Youngblood, Gregg Russell and Chebar Williams and many more. Our very talented “in-house” teachers offer their wealth of knowledge in the world of dance to your child.
Linda Dobbins Dance also offers a wellness program for dancers, athletes, and adults. Through this program we offer flexibility, conditioning, proper training techniques, massage therapy and physical therapy rehab.
