Bambinelli’s is a part of the Salvatore Bambinelli family of restaurants. Salvatore has been in the metro Birmingham market for the last 25 years. He began in Georgia over 30 years ago and opened the first two Bambinelli restaurants in Atlanta which are two of the cites most popular restaurants today. Sal moved to Birmingham and his son Joseph is now proprietor, chef and manager of those two stores.

Salvatore and Bo Bambinelli opened Salvatore's in Vestavia  in 1985 and it was a huge hit. The lines averaged three to four hours every night for over a decade. Sal decided he wanted a change from the high end white table cloth operation and opened the very popular Salvatore's pizza and pasta chain which he is currently planning to expand throughout the southeast. 

Bo and Sal decided they wanted to open a full service restaurant again in the former Ciao location in Mountain brook village except not as formal as the original Vestavia Salvatore's location. The  dishes and pizza are the real deal from Naples, Italy using local organic ingredients and specialty items imported from Italy. They are very proud to have been voted the best and most authentic Neapolitan restaurant in Alabama.

The new location follows many or the original recipes from Salvatore’s and is a neighborhood theme with an award winning wine list. Sal and Bo are expanding the catering operation and look forward to seeing old friends again in our new location.
